Aroma Therapy

Massage is one of the oldest, simplest forms of therapy. The basic goal of a massage therapy is to help the body heal itself and to increase health and well-being.  Apart from being a wonderful treatment for the body, it is a definite stress reliever.

Touch is a very important part of human contact since it helps us to feel connected and loved by those around us. Massage uses touch through rubbing or kneading of parts of the body to aid circulation, relax the muscles, or provide sensual stimulation.

There are many health benefits to receiving massage therapy on a regular basis.  Some of the main benefits are relieve of stress, relaxation, improvement of circulation & posture, lowering of blood pressure, muscle relaxation, relieve of tension headaches, strengthen the immune system & decrease of depression.

Holistic massage

Holistic massage is a massage therapy that treats the entire body. As its name comes from the word “holos,” which is the Greek word for “whole”, this simple definition may bring to mind the idea of a whole body massage.  However a holistic massage does much more than that since it is customized and based on the individual personal needs and body’s unique concerns.

Sports massage

Even though this therapy was originally developed to help athletes prepare their bodies for optimal performance, sports massage is also good for people with injuries or restricted range of motion. It concentrates on a specific problem area such as sore neck, back, shoulders or legs. Sports massage is a type of Swedish massage that stimulates circulation of blood and lymph fluids.

Thai Massage

What is today called “Thai massage” or “Thai yoga massage” is an ancient healing system combining acupressure, Indian Ayurvedic principles, and assisted yoga postures. Thai massage is a body work where the practitioner uses a floor mat, props and pillows to make sure the receiver is comfortable. It is a full body massage focused on the “Sen” (energy lines), progresses from the feet leading to the face and scalp with various styles of movement. Traditional Thai massage uses no oils or lotions. The recipient remains clothed during a treatment. There is constant body contact between the giver and receiver, but rather than rubbing on muscles, the body is compressed, pulled, stretched and rocked. This sequence is to move blocked energy from the body and stimulate blood flow. The treatment can relax and energize fatigued and overworked bodies, aid in stress reduction and increase muscle mobility.

  • Reiki

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by “laying on hands”, based on the idea that an unseen “life force energy” flows through us. If one’s “life force energy” is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.

Explaining Reiki

Rei – is the Universal Life Energy that is the spark in every atom of the Universe. It orders nature and is all knowing. Ki – (also called “Chi” in Chinese & “Prana” in Sanskrit) is our Vital Life Force. This is the non-physical energy that animates all living things.

How Does Reiki Work?

The free and balanced flow of Ki is the cause of good health. Ki flows within the physical body through pathways called meridians and around us in a field of energy called the aura. Ki nourishes the organs and cells of the body, supporting them in their vital function.

A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing.
